Vant

The problem

A business needs its storefront, payments and customer experience to work together. Building each through a separate service creates more integrations to maintain and makes it harder to deliver a consistent experience. Vant connects these needs within a shared fintech and commerce platform.

The approach

The platform serves consumers and merchants through distinct, connected products. The mobile app handles everyday money needs, while a multi-tenant architecture gives each business its own storefront on shared infrastructure. The engineering work covered the app, its Laravel backend integration and the supporting web experiences.

The build

• —The consumer app supports biometric and device authentication alongside one-time passcode flows.
• —Push notifications keep users informed, and over-the-air updates support ongoing app releases.
• —Mixpanel provides product analytics, with Intercom bringing customer support into the app.
• —React Query manages application data with support for intermittent connectivity.
• —Merchant storefronts and a marketing site extend the platform to the web.

The outcome

Vant shipped as a connected suite of consumer and business products: a mobile app available on Google Play, merchant storefronts and a business dashboard.
