The problem
Modern digital businesses need payments, a storefront and a customer-facing app — but stitching those together from separate services is slow, brittle and hard to run as one brand.
The approach
A Laravel API backing several clients at once: a consumer mobile app, merchant storefronts and a marketing site. Built multi-tenant so each business runs its own storefront over the same core.
The build
- —Consumer mobile app with biometric / local authentication and OTP flows
- —Push notifications and over-the-air updates for fast iteration
- —Product analytics via Mixpanel and in-app support via Intercom
- —Data layer with React Query against the Laravel API
- —Storefront web experience and marketing site on the same platform
The outcome
Shipped a multi-client fintech and commerce product — mobile app, storefront and API — sharing one backend, live at vant.ng. TODO(treasure): add the real outcome (merchants onboarded, transactions, launch).
