The problem
People looking for expert help and the consultants who serve them were spread across booking tools, video apps, chat and payment links. There was no single place to discover a consultant, onboard as one, run a paid session, and get paid.
The approach
One platform spanning the whole relationship — discovery, consultant onboarding, scheduling, real-time video, messaging, a jobs board and payments — served to both a web client (Next.js) and a mobile client (React Native) from a shared API.
The build
- —Consultant onboarding flow that turns a new sign-up into a bookable profile
- —Real-time video meetings built on Agora's WebRTC stack
- —In-app chat for client–consultant conversations
- —A jobs module for posting and finding work
- —Payments through both Stripe and PayPal, plus Google OAuth sign-in
- —A business dashboard, with error monitoring wired through Sentry
The outcome
Shipped and live at mangerine.com as a paired web and mobile product on one backend, covering the full journey from finding a consultant to paying for a session. TODO(treasure): add real outcomes — launch status, users served, or a result you're proud of.
